国道146号線を中軽井沢から草津方向へ北進し、約10㎞で標高1400mの白糸の滝入口信号の交差点に到着しますが、物件は交差点手前にあります。はす向かいには東大火山観測所があり、背後に浅間山、右手には小浅間が望めます。 1910年(明治43年)に浅間山登山者のための山小屋として創業し115年間続く伝統あるレストランでしたが、後継者がいないため手放すことにしました。水道が無く、雨水を飲用水等に使用していますが、井戸を掘ることも可能です。店舗とその裏手には住宅があり、店舗は平成10年に全面改修しています。
